Kristin appointed in key health post

Kristin Gillies (right) has been appointed head of strategic planning, performance and technology at Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP).

She is from Campbeltown and moved back there in 2009 after completing a master’s degree in healthcare management and leadership in England.

“This role allows me to further shape and influence our services to lead on the changes required to support transformation of our health and social care services,” she said.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Stephen Whiston my predecessor, who is retiring from the partnership in June for his many years of outstanding dedication, support and professional leadership, and wish him a healthy, long and happy retirement.”

In recent years Kristin has led on developing the HSCP’S joint strategic plan and joint strategic commissioning strategy, waiting times agenda, service level agreement and pathways, technology enabled care programme.

SCP chief officer Fiona Davies said: “I’d like to welcome the appointment of Kristin Gillies as head of strategic planning, performance and technology.

“Kristin is a real asset and brings extensive experience to the post and I look forward to working with her.”
