Fun First planning outdoor sessions in Helensburgh

An Easter Party is being planned by Fun First in Helensburgh – and new outdoor learning sessions are planned.

The group provides sessions for pre-school children and their parents every day somewhere between Helensburgh, Cardross, Garelochead and Rosneath.

All are welcome with no need to book and fees are by donation only.

All sessions are popular,  in particular Mondays in Helensburgh Library and fitness sessions in the Victoria Halls.

This year’s fitness sessions are supported by a grant from Argyll and Bute’s Supporting Communities Fund.

This month the team is training to run outdoor sessions for parents and children and it is hoped to start these soon, initially in Helensburgh, to prepare children for the outdoor and forest school activities they will experience in both early learning settings and when they start school.

The Easter party will be held on Thursday March 28 in the Victoria Halls starting at 10am and including refreshments, games, plus an Easter bonnet or fancy dress parade.

The group also received a grant from the TSI Health and Wellbeing Fund to fund its Fun First Friends sessions this year.

These sessions are not only for current users, but also for expectant parents and families new to the area.

They are held fortnightly in the Drumfork Centre family room.

Tickets available from Fun First sessions or by emailing contactfunfirst@gmail.com .

The group’s AGM will be on Wednesday April 24 at 7:30 on Zoom.
