Waverley to call at Kilcreggan in first sailing of 2024

The Waverley will steam into Kilcreggan on its first sailing of the year, it was revealed today.

The timetable for spring sailings of the historic paddle steamer has been revealed.

And the Waverley will call at Kilcreggan at 12.10 on Friday May 17, en route to Dunoon, Tighnabruaich and a cruise round Skate Island.

Other sailings in May will see the steamer visit Oban and the Corryvreckan whirlpool – as well as Kyle of Lochalsh with a viewing of Eilean Donan castle.

The Waverley will visit Ullapool for the first time, as well as returning to Fort William for the first time in many years.

The main Glasgow and Clyde coast season will run from June 28 to August 25, with final sailings on the Clyde in October.

A spokesperson for Waverley Excursions said: “We are thrilled to announce details of Waverley’s first cruises of 202.

“Over the past few months we have been working to plan an exciting programme of sailings as we look to build on the success of Waverley’s 2023 season.

“We invite you to step aboard the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer to cruise among the charming highland landscapes.”

Booking for the spring sailings is now open on the website.
