Pre-spring spruce-up in Rhu

A beach clean in Rhu in 2019

Gardening and clean-up volunteers will be hard at work in Rhu this week.

Garden and construction volunteer sessions at the village’s edible garden at Rhu Hall start tomorrow and will then run on Mondays and Thursdays from 10am to 11.30am – initially bulbs are being planted to brighten up spring.

Then there are two events on Saturday – the latest beach clean will be from 10am to 11.30am, with everyone welcome even if they can only spare half an hour. Meet at the end of Ferry Road and bring gloves if you have them.

And also on Saturday – weather permitting – there will be gardening in the church grounds and village green from 10am to 12 noon.

Bring gardening tools if possible.

There will be teas, coffees and maybe some home baking.

For the beach clean contact organiser  Lynda Baylem – lyndab13579@gmail.com – and organisers of the church grounds and village green are Jane and Andrew on 0777 057 7735.
