Jackie Baillie paid her annual visit to the Royal Mail sorting office in Alexandria to see first-hand the efforts that go into delivering our Christmas post, as well as to pass on her best wishes to the hardworking postal staff.
Royal Mail is never busier than during the Christmas period with a vast amount of effort going into delivering cards, letters and parcels to millions.
The Dumbarton constituency MSP met with the dedicated posties who are giving their all to organise and deliver mail for across our local area over the duration of the festive season.
Afterwards she said: “It is hard to find posties more hardworking than those at the Alexandria and Helensburgh sorting offices.
“These posties never fail to put their best foot forward, knowing that the delivery of a first-class Christmas rests heavily on their shoulders.
“Christmas is one of their busiest times of the year and yet they continue to exceed expectations with determination and a positive attitude.
“Thank you to our hardworking posties who consistently exceed expectations and ensure that deliveries are effectively made by Christmas.”
