Helensburgh hotel to expand into takeaway

Plans have been revealed for a hotel in Helensburgh toi expand by converting a nearby takeaway.

The proposals for Old Luss Road have been submitted to Argyll and Bute Council planners.

A supporting statement by Organic Architects says: “The applicant wishes to increase the number of rooms available to the hotel to meet demand.

“The additional rooms aim to be attractive, functional, and enhance existing facilities by providing a proportion of barrier free accessible rooms.

The proposed conversion of the existing hot food takeaway shall allow the County Hotel to realise the full potential of the hospitality business through increased capacity.”
