Argyll and Bute carers consultation

Unpaid and family carers are being asked to say what is the most important support they need.

Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is inviting carers of all ages to take part in its unpaid carers strategy consultation.

They say they want to hear directly from carers about the most helpful, effective, and important ways to improve support and services for young and adult carers.

Carers act implementation officer Kirsty MacKenzie said: “The HSCP and our partners recognise the hugely valuable role our unpaid carers play in caring for their loved ones, family, and friends.

“We are looking forward to the feedback and outcomes of the consultation and continuing to work with our partners to further improve our support and services for unpaid carers across Argyll and Bute.“

An unpaid carer is someone who provides unpaid help to a friend or family member needing support, perhaps due to illness, older age, disability, a mental health condition or an addiction.
