CHAS hospice praised by Baillie after visit

The work of a children’s hospice near Loch Lomond has been praised as ‘invaluable’ by MSP Jackie Baillie.

The Dumbarton constituency MSP visited Robin House in Balloch last week with UK Shadow Health Secretary Wes Streeting and was impressed with the work undertaken there to care for children with life-shortening conditions and their families.

The Children’s Hospices Across Scotland facility is one of two hospices which the charity run along with the CHAS at Home service.

Ms Baillie, who is also Scottish Labour’s Health Spokesperson, said: “It was a pleasure to visit Robin House with my colleague Wes Streeting. CHAS do fantastic work to support children and young people who are living with life-shortening conditions.

“They provide a range of services to families who are facing the toughest of times. Their work is invaluable to those families and to us all.

“I thank Wes Streeting for coming to Balloch to visit CHAS.

“I know he was incredibly impressed with the facility and will discuss their work with colleagues across the UK.”
