Helensburgh post office ‘to reopen in ten days’

Helensburgh’s main post office is due to reopen on Monday September 26, it was announced this week.

The West Princes Street building has been closed since September 4 because of flood damage.

A spokesperson for Post Office Ltd said: “We would like to apologise for the inconvenience the temporary closure may cause.

“We hope that our customers will continue to use the post office, once it has reopened.”

During the closure customers have been asked to use the post offices in Churchill Square, Helensburgh, or eight miles away in Dumbarton.

A full range of services is available in the Dumbarton post office, but the Churchill one cannot offer vehicle tax, passport check or Send and On Demand Travel Insurance.
