Pedestrian who died in Cardross collision named

Police have named the pedestrian who died after a collision in Cardross last weekend.

Alan Baker, aged 42 and from the Dumbarton area was involved in a collision with a car at 11.20pm on Sunday on the A814 Cardross Road.

Emergency services attended and Alan was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he died the next day

Sergeant Lloyd Caven, of Police Scotland’s road policing unit, said: “Our thoughts are with Alan’s family and friends at this difficult time.

“Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.

“I am appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time and who saw what happened to contact us.

“I would also appeal to anyone who may have dash-cam footage which could assist our investigation to get in touch.”
