Waverley’s 2021 timetable is announced

The Waverley will call at Kilcreggan up to three times a week this summer, with passengers offered time ashore on Arran or a cruise through the Kyles of Bute.

The historic paddle steamer’s 2021 timetable has just been published – and with Helensburgh pier still closed, it features a new range of sailings from Kilcreggan.

On alternate Saturdays the Waverley will visit Kilcreggan at midday on her way to Tighnabruaich via the Kyles of Bute.

Every Tuesday she will call at the village at 1.40pm before stopping at Blairmore en route to a cruise of Loch Long and Loch Goil.

And on alternate Thursdays there will be an eight and a half hour sailing, departing Kilcreggan at 11.15am with stops offered at Largs, Millport and Brodick as well as a cruise around the Holy Isle.

Waverley Excursions Ltd’s summer brochure offers coach links from Helensburgh to connect with the steamer at Kilcreggan for the Thursday and Saturday sailings.

The coach will leave the car park next to Helensburgh swimming pool at 11am on Saturdays and 10.20 am on Thursdays – advance booking is needed.

Kilcreggan sailings start on Saturday June 26 and run until August 22- booking via the website is recommended and full timetable details are in the brochure (large PDF file) : Scottish-Brochure-2021-V1-June-24-to-August-22
