Waverley returns to Kilcreggan this week

The Waverley is set to return to Kilcreggan this week – after an absence of two years.

The historic paddle steamer is finally back in action, following replacement of both her boilers, followed by Covid-19 restrictions.

But she was seen on the Clyde undergoing sea trials last week, and today a timetable has appeared on the Waverley Excursions website.

It shows the Waverley calling in Kilcreggan at 12 noon this Friday (August 21) before sailing to Rothesay.

The new timetable is available here: Waverley-Scottish-Timetable-Aug-21_Sept-6-V3

The website states: Waverley will return to service on Friday August 21 and operate until Sunday September 6 on the Firth of Clyde.

“Tickets must be booked in advance online or by calling 0141 243 2224. Where possible we would ask that bookings are made online to allow our small team to manage bookings effectively.”
