An otter was spotted at Kilcreggan pier today – bringing home its dinner.
This remarkable footage was taken by piermaster Gavin Walker, who said: “In the last 37 years working here I have only seen one otter before.
“Skipper of the Chieftain, the Kilcreggan ferry vessel, John McKendrick pointed it out to me.”
There have been occasional sightings of otters on the Rosneath Peninsula in recent years, including near the Brownie Park in Kilcreggan and opposite the Knockderry hotel in Cove.
