There are only a few short weeks to go until Helensburgh Winter Festival on November 26 and 27, a bumper weekend of fun for all the family.

A spokesman for the ‘Penguin Crew’ organising committee said: “We are all very excited about this year’s winter festival. It is going to be a bumper year with something for everyone regardless of their age.

“Provided the weather is good to us this year we are confident that no-one is going to go away disappointed.”

A highlight of this year’s festival will once again be the skating rink, which will take pride of place in Colquhoun Square with an evening skating disco on the Friday between 4pm and 7pm.
