Celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary of the Burgh of Cove and Kilcreggan have been postponed until the autumn.
A series of events was originally planned for the end of June, but Cove and Kilcreggan Community Council heard tonight that some members of the sub-committee would be unavailable, while the delay would make it easier to involve local schools.
Though to be Scotland’s smallest burgh, Cove and Kilcreggan was founded in 1865 and ‘destroyed’ by local government reorganisation 40 years ago.
Events will include a civic reception, and Cllr Robert MacIntyre said he had approached Argyll and Bute Council’s Provost about funding for this.
