The A83 will be closed overnight on May 6 for roadworks in the Butter Bridge area.
New safety barriers are being installed by contractors BEAR Scotland, meaning the trunk road will be closed in both directions from 10pm to 4am.
There will be amnesties where motorists will be escorted through the work site at midnight and 2am – drivers are warned to arrive for these amnesties in good time to ensure access.
A diversion route will be in place via the A82, A85 and A819.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s north west representative said: “We understand that road closures can be frustrating for motorists, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by these essential safety improvements.
“These new safety barriers will help to protect drivers and ensure the continued safe operation of the A83.
“We’ve scheduled the work overnight to minimise disruption, and we’ll be working hard to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible.”
