Tomorrow (Saturday) will see the first beach clean of the year organised by Plastic-Free Helensburgh, starting by the pier at 10am and running until 11.30am.

Everyone is welcome, including accompanied children – equipment will be provided but wear waterproof boots.

Then in Kilcreggan on Easter Monday there will be a beach clean sponsored by Cove and Kilcreggan Community Council, from 10am to 12 noon.

Volunteers should meet at the bus shelter in Kilcreggan at 10am, before picking their own stretch of beach

Bin bags and gloves will be available if needed and afterwards volunteers are asked to

place their filled rubbish bags, grouped together as far as possible, on the roadside for collection by Argyll and Bute Council.
