The route is mixed terrain, starting on the flat along road and pavement then turning up onto a forestry track which is undulating dirt track with lovely scenery.

The forestry track will be a little challenging as it has a slow incline but after the 5km point then it’s a satisfying downhill run on the track then pavement all the way back to the hall.

The run is for 16 year-olds and upwards and the walk is for eight year-olds and above.

Under-12s need to be accompanied by a paying adult.

Entry for the run is £22.50 for an adult or £20.50 for Scottish Athletic Members and the walk is also £22.50 for adults or £5 for children who are up for the challenge.
