Coffee shop plan for Helensburgh town centre

A new coffee shop is being planned for a site in Helensburgh town centre.

Plans have been submitted to change the use of empty premises at 11 Colquhoun Square which were most recently used as a dance studio.

A design by Technique Architects states that there would be no material changes to the appearance of the property.

It shows a café and shop serving hot drinks and cold food prepared primarily for consumption off premises with space dedicated to coffee supplies and equipment.

The applicant is Graeme Shearer, who earlier this year also submitted plans for a coffee shop or café at 64-66 West Princes Street and previously ran the Common Ground café and bakery beside Dumbarton East Station.

Details are on Argyll and Bute Council’s website – the reference number is 23/02282/PP.
