There will be free parking at all Helensburgh’s council-run car parks in the run-up to Christmas, it was announced this week.
Argyll and Bute Council says the. move is intended to encourage people to shop locally this year.
There will be no charges from December 11 to 24 inclusive.
Andrew Kain, the council’s policy lead for roads and transport, said: “Our local independent businesses play a key role in supporting the local economy.
“By providing free parking, we hope residents will continue to show their support for local businesses and keep spending local.”
