Project manager sought for Maid of the Loch

A project manager is to be appointed, marking a key step in the restoration of the Maid of the Loch.

Funding has been awarded by the Scottish Government and the Forth Valley and Lomond CLLD for the new role on the last paddle steamer built in the UK.

The charity which owns the steamer at Balloch hopes to have her sailing on Loch Lomond again by 2026, but the successful candidate’s experience is needed for then next crucial stages.

The role is full-time with a salary that is described as competitive, but other arrangements could be made for the right candidate.

An experienced project manager is sought, with a track record of delivering complex programmes of work on time and within budget, as well as experience of working with volunteers and a charity board, using public funds.

Email mail@maidoftheloch.org for an application pack or call the charity’s chair Iain Robertson for a chat.
