The A817 Haul Road will be closed for emergency work on Monday and Tuesday.
The route through Glen Fruin has suffered ‘major failure of the surface’ at its junction with the A82, Argyll and Bute Council has said.
The full length of the road will be closed between 9am and 3pm, between the A81 and A814 junctions for ’emergency patching works’.
The council says access to farms will be possible from the A814 but only emergency vehicles will be able to join the road from the A82.
Traffic will be diverted via the A818 Black Hill road.
Overdue! Potholes going west have been getting worse for months. Road also needs attention to roadside puddles which could cause vehicles to be pushed into the path of oncoming vehicles. Accidents waiting to happen in predicable places for years now.
