Santa’s helpers in Helensburgh get in training for Christmas

Santa’s little helpers in Helensburgh have been getting in shape ahead of their busiest time of year.

Staff at the Olde Christmas Shoppe have been in training led by Karlyn Marshall.

Toni Taylor, who owns the shop on West Clyde Street where it really is Christmas every day, has been training with her husband James and Claire Stevenson.

Toni said: “Santa wasn’t very happy that his favourite Christmas Shoppe staff weren’t fast enough last year and he would like us to lead by example by getting fitter and stronger and able to reach the top shelf without a step.

“Thanks to Karlyn I can now bend and squat and am making much healthier choices so I definitely wont be on Santa’s naughty list this year!

“Karlyn will work with you though any barriers you might have to help you get fit for Christmas and beyond.”

Karlyn, who is originally from Rosneath, said: “Santa got in touch with me to ask if I could help Claire, Toni and James get a bit fitter.

“Of course, I was happy to help!'”
