Open Fridays extended at Cove Park

The ‘Open Fridays’ initiative at Cove Park has been extended, while new Saturday Studios workshops are being offered.

The arts centre on the Rosneath Peninsula will be open to visitors every Friday afternoon, free of charge, between 1pm and 5pm, until Friday October 6.

Everyone is welcome to see Double Flower by Louise Hopkins, explore the 50-acre site and meet the team.

Meanwhile the Saturday Studios programme of free, creative and artist-led workshops for young people in the local community has been awarded £2,500 funding from Argyll and Bute Council’s Supporting Communities Fund, meaning there will be five new workshops this year.

And on August 26 , as part of the Saturday Studios, there will be pattern making workshops developed and facilitated by textile designer, artist, educator and former Cove Park resident Marie O’Conner.

The workshop is free and open to children aged five and over. Parents or carers are encouraged to stay and join in if they wish.
