Arrochar 10K places being snapped up

Entries are now open for the fifth Arrochar 10K, which as always will feature a spectacular route.

There will be prizes for winning runners in men, women, local and veteran categories at the event on Saturday September 16, starting at 10.30am.

The route follows a track from Glen Loin, up through the Arrochar Alps to Ardgartan and back to the village along Loch Long – there are 200 places this year and only 65 are still available.

The event is open to runners aged 16 years or older on the day of the race and all finishers will receive a medal and T-shirt.

Afterwards there will be a prize-giving and homemade cakes in the Three Villages Hall.

Anyone who wishes to be considered for a local prize (living within 15 miles by road of the start line) or an ex-local prize (if you have previously lived within 15 miles of the start line and have strong family connections to the area) should contact the organisers.

The event is organised by Loch Long Jetty Association under UK Athletics rules.
