Project Studio launched for teenagers

A new arts and creativity project for teenagers in the Helensburgh and Lomond area is being launched next month.

Project Studio is being run by Cove Park, thanks to funding worth nearly £7,500 from the National Lottery Community Fund.

It will feature monthly events – including workshops and trips – centred around self-expression and creating community for teenagers interested in the arts, activism, environmentalism and wellbeing.

The programme will take place in venues in Helensburgh from June to late autumn.

It is open to anyone aged between 13 and 16 who lives in the catchment area for Hermitage Academy.

Sessions – run by early-career professional artists, activists or experts in their field – could include film, fashion, animation, zine-making, podcasting or digital art.

The first launch session will be on Tuesday 6une 6, from 4-6pm, at the Park Pavilion Café in Hermitage Park.
