Landmark near for charity takeover of Rosneath Hall

A charity seeking to take over a public hall in Rosneath will hold its first AGM tomorrow.

The Princess Louise Hall was opened in 1975 but has fallen out of use.

At tomorrow night’s meeting there is a proposal for the hall – and the adjacent Howie Pavilion. – to be leased to a local committee for an initial period of three years.

The annual rent would be £1 and it is expected that a longer term lease would subsequently be agreed.

Office-bearers will also be appointed on a substantive basis and there is a proposal for a ‘friends’ scheme to be introduced for anyone willing to pay a small annual subscription.

Businesses could also become friends of the hall, receiving a wooden plaque to display if they wish.

The AGM will be held in the Howie Pavilion on Thursday April 27 at 7.30pm.

Everyone is welcome and will have the opportunity to look around both premises and suggest future uses of the buildings.

More details are available on the website.
