Flooding hits rail and road routes

Update: The railway line was reopened at 12.30 today.

All trains from Helensburgh Central and Upper stations have been cancelled this morning after heavy flooding.

ScotRail says the line is flooded at both Craigendoran and Bowling (pictured) after heavy rain overnight.

And traffic on the A82 is restricted at the Bowling roundabout, again because of flooding, which has closed several trunk roads across western Scotland.

A Met Office yellow weather warning for heavy rain is in force until 2pm, and a separate yellow warning for snow and ice is in force until 9pm.
