Lane closures and a convoy system will be in force on the A83 near Ardgartan when roadworks start next week.
Stretches of the trunk road at Butterbridge and Honeymoon Bridge will be resurfaced by contractors BEAR Scotland on behalf of Transport Scotland.
The work will start on Monday December 5 and is due to be complete by Wednesday December 21, depending on weather.
The work will take place between 7pm and 5am with no works on Friday or Saturday nights.
There will be lane closures with temporary traffic lights and a 10mph convoy system during working hours and a 30mph speed limit during the day.
A BEAR spokesperson said: “Access through the works sites for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
“Due to the proximity of these works to the A83 Rest and Be Thankful, if weather dictates a diversion via the Old Military Road, the works will be halted to ensure no additional delays are encountered.”
