New appeal after fatal crash on A82

Police have reissued their appeal for information after a fatal road crash on the A82 last week.

At around 6.45pm on Thursday, Police Scotland were called to a road crash involving a black Ford Fiesta and a black Ford Focus with a trailer at the Stoneymollan roundabout near Balloch.

Emergency services attended, however the 22-year-old driver of the Ford Fiesta was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sergeant Archie McGuire from the road policing unit at Dumbarton said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of the man who died.

“As our investigation continues, I would like to-re-appeal for witnesses to this crash.

“The road was busy at the time and we know that there are a number of people who stopped at the time, who had left before police arrival and I would urge them to contact us as they may have information that is important.

“We are continuing to study CCTV and I would ask drivers who were driving behind the vehicles involved, or who were on this area of road at the time to contact us as soon as possible, especially if they have any dash-cam or personal footage.

“Any witnesses, or anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference 2738 of 24 November, 2022.”
