A Christmas toy appeal has been launched on behalf of two community support groups.
Linda McMillan-Shanks, who lives in Kilcreggan, hopes to create gifts for needy children via both Above & Beyond and Lochside Helping Others.
“I am collecting toys which will be gifted to vulnerable families,” she said.
“Last year an appeal resulted in 248 children benefitting from generous donations.
“We receive all sorts of unwanted items and then give them to people who need them.”
Both groups aim to support people of all ages and will accept donations of unwanted items that are still in good condition and working order.
Linda was also behind a project to create winter warmer packs for the elderly, made from items donated by the community.
Toy donations can be collected or dropped off until December 18.
