A seafront bar in Helensburgh is planning a revamp including pavement seating and a slight name change.
Metro Inns Ltd has applied for planning permission for a series of changes at The Royal Bar – including removing the word ‘bar’ from its sign on West Clyde Street.
They have applied for:
- New black fabric awning to match the pub’s existing black cafe barriers.
- Revamped signage changed from The Royal Bar to The Royal in 3D rear-illuminated letters
- The facade painted a new colour
- External seating area to occupy 1.5 metres of pavement at the front
- New covered smoking area at the rear with decking and seating
Details are on Argyll and Bute Council’s website – the reference number is 21/00820/PP.
