Paintings and cards on offer in RNLI event

Cove and Kilcreggan’s fundraising branch of the RNLI is set to hold its first indoor event since February 2020.

The Art of Christmas will see the return of the branch’s ever-popular Christmas card sale.

As well as the usual calendars and RNLI goods, the branch has been gifted a number of pieces of art to sell, and these will be exhibited for purchase at the sale.

Works include pieces by local artist Don Womack, as well as items gifted by local people, and include both original paintings, as well as prints.

Paintings include abstract work, landscapes, a view of the Clyde from John Street in Helensburgh, and many more.

There’s something for everyone, with prices starting at £20. Card and cheque payments will be accepted on the day.

Tea and coffee with mince pies and shortbread are included in the entry price of £3 and any donations of baking on the day – wrapped and labelled, please – would be much appreciated.

The branch is very much looking forward to a good turnout on November 6 from 11am to 1pm in Cove Burgh Hall

and the opportunity to raise plenty of much need money for the lifeboats.
