Harpist Pippa restarts Cove Burgh Hall events

Cove Burgh Hall hosted its first live event in more than 18 months last night.

And a full audience was transported away from the rain-lashed evening by the magical music of harpist Pippa Reid-Foster.

Pippa, who grew up on the Rosneath Peninsula, used both her traditional clarsach and her new concert harp to perform an entrancing set which featured her own compositions, as well as works by Ludovico Einaudi and Philip Glass.

In 2022 she will be touring with Finnish Kantele player Eva Alkula, around Finland and the UK.

Over £500 was raised for the community-run hall, which has seen a drastic fall in income since the first lockdown.

Next up in the hall’s events programme are Horse McDonald’s Trio Show  and the Mull Theatre .
