Home Hardware plans new store in Helensburgh

Plans for a garden centre and retail at a former car showroom in Helensburgh have been revealed.

Home Hardware, which currently has a shop in Sinclair Street, wants to take over the former Arnold Clark showroom space nearby in East Clyde Street.

Plans for alterations and to change the use of the premises to retail, with a total floorspace of 1,230 square metres, have been submitted to Argyll and Bute Council.

The site has been vacant since being closed by Arnold Clark last year.

Full details are available on the council’s website; the reference number is 20/02315/PP .
