The Kilcreggan ferry will have three different timetables in the space of three months because of work at Gourock pier.

A £1.2m programme of improvements at the Inverclyde ferry terminal is under way, funded by Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) and cafried out by contractors George Leslie Ltd.

The linkspan support structures will be repaired and the linkspan’s steel deck replaced, as well as ‘associated mechanical and electrical repairs’.

Both Dunoon and Kilcreggan ferries will operate from the Gourock boat steps until the end of the work – scheduled for December 18 – with temporary amended timetables being put in place.

The amended timetable for Kilcreggan will run until Thursday October 29 then return from November 15 until December 18.

A different amended timetable will run from October 30 to November 14, and the usual timetable is due to be restored on December 19.

Details of the timetables are here.
