Details of flu vaccination clinics on Rosneath Peninsula announced

Flu vaccination clinics are being held in schools on the Rosneath Peninsula next month.

Because of Covid-19 restrictions, staff at Kilcreggan Medical Practice have changed procedures for the jabs this year and moved them away from the surgery itself.

Instead the clinics will be held during the half term break, at Rosneath Primary School on October 12 and 13, and Kilcreggan primary on October 14 and 15.

Staff at the medical centre contacting patients by phone to arrange appointments as letters will not be sent from the surgery.

Patients are requested to wear face coverings and loose sleeved clothing.

A spokesperson for the medical practice said: “These clinics will be different to previous years, in that they are not ‘open’ clinics – everyone will be given an appointment date and time.

“We are asking patients to help us to keep everyone safe by arriving on time.

“If they are late they will miss their appointment, and if arriving early we ask that they wait until their appointed time to enter the school.

“Admin staff at the door will have consent forms and assist with their completion, then direct the patient to their appointed clinician.

“Patients can of course complete their own form, but will need to provide their own pen as sharing pens is not allowed.

“We hope that everything runs smoothly, but ask that patients please bear with us during what is a really challenging time for everyone.

“Our main priority is delivering the flu vaccine in a way that keeps our staff and patients as safe as we can.”
