Vandals have attacked an angling club’s facilities, destroying its information kiosk and record book.

The Mill Dam, which is maintained by Cove and Kilcreggan Angling Club, was attacked recently, with wooden bridges tossed into a burn and an array of rubbish left behind – including some fishing tackle.

Club members have now cleared up some of the damage and have appealed for anyone with information to contact Police Scotland by calling 101.

“The scene we found on site was really distressing and very annoying,” said one member.

“The picnic table was destroyed, the club burnt, the bridges over the burns tossed in the burns and a lot of revolting rubbish left on site.”

  1. There are a lot of mindless morons about. I have been clearing rhododendrons that have been taking over the woods and was burning the reside in an incinerator. Some clown delights in smashing up the incinerator; it’s now down to 2 legs.
