Couples living in adjacent buildings in Kilcreggan had a remarkable treble celebration this month, marking 125 years of marriage between them

Diamond, ruby and silver wedding anniversaries were all marked in Princes Terrace and Firth View this month.

Archie and Patsy McNeilage were married on June 27 1960, Glyn and Jane Rolling on June 28 1980 and Derek and Elaine Fowlis on June 2, 1995.

Coronavirus restrictions meant the usual celebrations for families and friends could not be held.

But Derek said: “We are definitely going to have a wee party when we can.

“It’s something that’s quite unusual – three milestone anniversaries, and within yards of each other.”
