Roo Irvine signs with Limelight and plans shop expansion

TV antiques expert Roo Irvine has been signed up by celebrity management agency Limelight – and her Kilcreggan shop will soon double in size.

Limelight handle well-known figures including Ross Kemp, Oz Clarke, James Martin, Nick Nairn, Paul Rankin and Tim Wonnacott, who provides the droll commentary for the Antiques Road Trip series where Roo made her TV debut.

Roo said she was ‘beyond delighted’ to have signed with the agency, adding: “I am so humbled yet proud to be working with a top-class agency and be part of the Limelight family, amongst some amazing names that I have grown up admiring and watching with starry eyes.

“A huge thank you to each and every one of you that has supported me from day one and made me smile with your kind ness and faith in me.”

Roo’s shop in Kilcreggan has been closed since the lockdown began, although her website is still running.

And the lockdown has also delayed her expansion into a shop unit next door – she still hopes that construction work will be finished in time for the bigger shop to be open in a few weeks’ time though.

Filming of a new series of Antiques Road Trip had to stop in mid-March, but she can be seen in a new episode of Bargain Hunt on June 22.

In recent months she has also made her first appearance on BBC Radio 4, as a guest on Moneybox, and talked on stage for the first time, alongside Angus Ashworth at the Kirk Theatre in Pickering, Yorkshire.
