A82 road crash victim is named

The man who died in a road accident on Loch Lomondside last weekend has been named as George Stephen Kelly.

The 66 year-old from the Kilbarchan area (pictured) was riding a motorcycle on the A82 near Inverbeg when it was involved in a collision with a silver Skoda estate car ar around 2.30pm on Sunday July 28.

Police Scotland say the driver and passenger in the car were uninjured but the driver, a 66-year-old man, was arrested and charged with road traffic offences and was due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court yesterday.

The trunk road was closed for more than seven hours after the accident, on a stretch of road which has become notorious in recent years.
