A plumber from Cardross has been honoured for his decades of work in the industry.
Preston Fleming is one of the latest people to receive a merit award recognising ‘outstanding contribution’ from SNIPEF, the Scottish & Northern Ireland Plumbing Employers’ Federation.
He was presented with the award on Friday at the organisation’s Annual General Meeting.
A third generation plumber of the family firm, with over 40 years’ experience in the plumbing and heating industry, Mr Fleming has been a strong supporter of the SNIPEF Glasgow & West of Scotland Local Association, serving as both director and local president.
He served as SNIPEF National President in 2011 and was instrumental in setting up the Plumbing Industry Licensing Scheme in 2002.
SNIPEF chief executive Fiona Hodgson said: “I’m very proud to present Preston with the SNIPEF merit award.
“He is an extremely deserving recipient who has made an enormous contribution to the industry, and continues to do so.
