Rosneath Peninsula road race won by Team Ribble

Dozens of cyclists competed in a gruelling 75-mile race around the Rosneath Peninsula today.

The Hugh Dornan memorial road race took in in four laps of a circuit around the peninsula, finishing at the top of the fifth ascent of the Whistlefield Hill.

Organised by Lomond Roads Cycling Club and based at the Gibson Hall in Garelochhead, it was part of the Scottish Cycling Alba series, drawing a field of elite, first, second and third category riders

Riders from Team Ribble first (Zeb Kyffin) and second (Alex Luhrs), with Cameron Richardson of Bioracer third.

New members are always welcome, whether beginners or experienced photographers – the next meeting is on Wednesday June 19 at 7.30pm in Cove Sailing Club.
