News in brief: Cabin cruiser adrift, Linn open day, appeal for members

The Helensburgh lifeboat was called to a cabin cruiser adrift off Gourock on Friday evening.

HM Coastguard requested the launch at 6.21pm and the crew found one person aboard the 17-foot vessel – both engines had failed as a result of contaminated fuel. The cabin cruiser was towed to Greenock.
