Classic afternoon tea in Cove for RNLI

Have yourself a special treat tomorrow at Cove Burgh Hall with a spectacular classic afternoon tea in aid of the RNLI.

Organised by the Cove and Kilcreggan branch of the lifeboat charity, the afternoon’s event will also feature two young clarsach players from the Peninsula – 12 year-old Kezia Conran and Jessica Noble, 17 – who have generously given up their time to entertain everyone.

The young harpists are taught by Kilcreggan’s well-known musician Pippa Reid-Foster and both attend Hermitage Academy.

Priced at £6 per person, the event runs from 2-4pm and the price includes both the teas and coffees, the homemade treats and the musical entertainment. There will also be a raffle and spring flowers for sale.

A committee member said: “There will be cake stands laden with all kinds of delicious sandwiches and homebaking, all washed down with tea or coffee.

“Go along and support not only the lifesaving work of the RNLI, but also two young rising-star musicians.”
