Kilcreggan’s Christmas tree was switched on last night, with children from the village’s primary school hanging decorations which they had made.
The pupils then sang carols by the pier to welcome commuters home as the ferry arrived from Gourock.
Last year the Ministry of Defence donated the tree, and this arrangement was continued in 2018; MSP Maurice Corry, who liaised with the MoD, was on hand yesterday.
