Wreath making workshop for Linn Gardens this weekend

A unique yuletide wreath featuring your favourite decorations could be outside your home next week!

For the second  time a wreath-making event is being held in Garelochhead, with advice on offer from experts including botanist Dr Jim Taggart of Linn Gardens in Cove.

Admission is only £5 and free for children – all the materials needed are included, but you’re welcome to bring any favourite decorations.

The workshop will be held in the Gibson Hall, Garelochhead, from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday December 9, with tea and home baking available.

It is in aid of the Linn Botanic Gardens in Cove, and sponsored by the Old Christmas Shoppe in Helensburgh,

Jim Taggart has been at the Linn since 1971 and is responsible for much of how it looks today, welcoming visitors from all over the world.

The Friends of the Linn is a registered Scottish charity, made up of a wide range of people who support Jim in his work to preserve the garden and the rare specimens it contains.

New members are welcome – and anyone joining on the day will be given a refund of their admission.
