Snow and wind still causing havoc

Drifting snow is still causing severe problems across the Helensburgh and Rosneath Peninsula areas today (Friday).

There are still no trains from Helensburgh and the A814 between Cardross and Helensburgh is blacked by drifting snow, although the Black Hill road is passable.

Some bus services have been restored, although the KIlcreggan ferry is still suspended and schools are closed.

Check with organisers about weekend events – the classic afternoon tea in aid of the RNLI at Cove Sailing Club tomorrow has been cancelled.
