Electricity in parts of the Rosneath Peninsula and Helensburgh area is expected to be cut off until mid afternoon.Power was lost at hundreds of homes and businesses at 12.24 today.
SP Energy Networks have said in a statement: “There is a supply interruption in the G84 and G83 postcode areas affecting Helensburgh and Kilcreggan areas.
“This has been caused by a fault on our overhead line network and is affecting a large number of customers in a widespread area.
“Our emergency response teams have been alerted and we expect power to be restored by 2.30pm
“We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
At 6pm the company said that all power had been restored by 5.09pm after the network was reset.
