Clynder artist Victoria McQueen is opening a pop-up shop in Helensburgh in time for Christmas.

Work by members of the Helensburgh and Lomond Artisan Association will also be on sale in the pop-up shop in the Oak Tree Gallery from Monday (December 12).

Victoria said her work is heavily influenced by her travels on the west coast, including Vatersay, Barra, the Uists, Berneray, Harris, Lewis and Islay.

“I love the ever-changing sky and sea the way the light changes at a moment’s notice,” she said.

“I’ve been painting and drawing all my life, but was mostly commissioned-based when my two kids were younger.

“Now they are both teenagers, I invested in a studio in my back garden and opened it in the spring. The space has completely changed to way I paint.

“I also entered two exhibitions this year and was accepted in both.”

Work will also be on sale from:

  • Mindarla Design (jewellery)
  • Sunroom Sewing
  • Cheeky Frog Handmade Cards
  • Hillibeads Jewellery
  • JSI Cards (photography)
  • Jules and Rose (Jewellery)
  • The Sparkle Gift Company (various handcrafted items)

Victoria’s studio has gallery space and is open strictly by appointment.
